Ultimate 8" Coil Conversion XJ

This XJ came on a long trip from California all the way to our shop in Waterbury CT for a full build. A Dynatrac ProRock D60 front was shipped complete with 5.38 gears, ARB locker ready to go minus axle brackets. We installed our high clearance axle bracket kits and made/modified custom front steering and trackbar. The rear LP D60 was sourced from a local junk yard and completely rebulit using new gears, bearings, axle shafts ARB locker with 35 spline shafts and disc brakes. Once the axles were complete, we began on install our long arm coil conversion kit.

The front part of the XJ long arm kit is a fairly simple installation. The cross member bolts into the oem location, center the cross member, and weld it in. The control arms attach to this 3 piece cross member, allowing you to remove the center section to work on the transmission without having to remove any suspension links.

The rear coil conversion kit is not a simple install and should be performed by a well setup shop. You will need to cut and weld to the uni-body, install high clearance axle brackets using AutoCAD drawings, and possibly make a custom e-brake bracket depending on your model year. The end result is amazing flex, great ride quality and offroad performance that no leaf spring can provide.
